Profhilo does not usually produce an immediate final result. Some people notice that their skin feels more hydrated or looks fresher within a few days to two weeks. Changes in skin texture, firmness and elasticity usually develop more gradually.
A typical treatment plan includes two sessions several weeks apart. The result is therefore normally assessed after the second treatment and the development period that follows.

When do Profhilo results appear?
A first change in hydration, skin feel or radiance may become noticeable within a few days to one or two weeks. Improvements in firmness, elasticity and skin texture normally take longer.
The first change is not the same as the final result. When two treatments are recommended, the outcome is usually easier to assess several weeks after the second session.
Seeing little difference after one treatment does not necessarily mean that Profhilo has not worked. The effect can be subtle and may continue to develop over time.

Profhilo results timeline
- 1 Immediately after treatment — Small raised areas, redness, tenderness or swelling may be visible at the injection points. These are treatment reactions rather than results.
- 2 After 24 to 48 hours — Temporary swelling and injection-point bumps should usually begin to settle.
- 3 After one week — The skin may feel calmer, softer or more hydrated, although some people will not notice a clear change yet.
- 4 After one to two weeks — A subtle improvement in hydration, radiance or skin feel may become more noticeable.
- 5 At around four weeks — The second treatment is often performed around this stage when Profhilo is being used as a two-session course.
- 6 After the second treatment — Improvements in smoothness, firmness and elasticity may continue to develop.
- 7 Four to eight weeks later — The result is normally easier to assess once the treatment course and development period have been completed.
- 8 Maintenance stage — Further treatment may be considered depending on the skin, treatment goals and practitioner’s advice.
First improvement versus the final result
An early improvement usually relates to hydration, softness or a fresher-looking complexion. These changes can appear relatively soon but may be subtle.
The final result refers to the overall improvement in skin quality, including texture, elasticity and firmness. These changes usually need more time to develop.
For this reason, the first few days are not a reliable time to assess the outcome. It may also be too early to judge Profhilo after only one session.

Why are Profhilo results not immediate?
Profhilo is not used in the same way as a dermal filler. Fillers are generally chosen to add volume or support particular facial contours. Profhilo is primarily intended to improve skin hydration and overall skin quality.
The product is injected at several points beneath the skin. It does not normally create an immediate change in facial shape or volume.

No result after a few days
This can be normal. Early redness, swelling or injection-point bumps may also make it difficult to assess the skin.
No result after one week
Some people notice better hydration at this stage, while others do not see a visible change. Profhilo results are often gradual.
No result after one treatment
One session may be too early to judge the result, particularly when the recommended plan includes two treatments.
No result after the second treatment
Allow the assessment period recommended by your practitioner. Contact the clinic if there is still no noticeable change after that period or if the outcome does not match what was discussed.
A follow-up appointment can help determine whether more time is needed or whether another treatment would better suit your concern.
Profhilo before and after photos
When are Profhilo before-and-after photos reliable?
Before-and-after images can help demonstrate subtle changes in skin quality, but only when the photographs are genuinely comparable.
Look for:
The same lighting
The same camera angle
The same distance
The same facial expression
The same treatment area
The number of treatments received
The date of the after photograph
Minimal make-up or filtering
The after photograph should also be taken after the recommended development period rather than immediately after treatment.
